Vlogging and Losin’ It

The Thinker from Wikipedia

I have been thinking about vlogging.

A lot.

So, I subscribed to Mama Kat’s Losin’ It Vlogging Workshop where she gives prompts and tips each week.

I haven’t gotten up the nerve to vlog yet for the following reasons:

  1. I have little interest in looking like an idiot.
  2. I don’t know if people will care what I have to say.
  3. I need a new do (that’s haircut for all those who don’t know)

Yes, these are all reasons.

Err.. excuses.

Okay, lame excuses ~ but they keep me from vlogging ~ it’s true.

Then I watch Mama Kat each Wednesday and she makes it look so easy and fun. I think, “Hey, I could do that!”

But I don’t.  Why?  (See reasons above..)

One of this week’s prompts was to describe your favorite makeup and Mama Kat’s vlog was so hilarious that I had to share.

She makes vlogging seem so easy, doesn’t she?

Have you done any vlogging?  If so, share here! If not, what is holding you back? Do have any tips to share about vlogging? Do you think Mama Kat is as hilarious as I do?

  1. Her makeup job looks about as good as it would if I were to apply it to her. Somehow I never ended up developing the skillz ;)

She does look like she’s having a good time, though. And if you were ever to do a vlog, I’d watch it…and I’m sure other people would too :)

  2. OMG, she is hilarious! She has the perfect deadpan delivery for sarcastic humor. LOVE it. Thanks for introducing her vlog. I just watched the two she’s done with “mullet girl” singing Taylor Swift songs. I was cracking up the whole time.

I personally will never do a vlog because a) I can barely stand getting a photo taken, b) I have no clue what I would say, and c) I have not perfected my British accent yet. You, on the other hand, should give it whirl. Would love to see some fellow Wana’s give it a try. :)

    • You’re welcome! That Taylor Swift video was sooo funny! I showed my 12 year old, who loves Taylor, and she couldn’t stop laughing either. I could get lost in her videos for hours, probably. She’s got this dry, sarcastic, funny timing that keeps me cracking up.

I may give it a try ~ I’m working on the nerve and my Australian accent ;)
